Syracuse University Ambulance launches EMS eSchedule.
Syracuse, New York
Serving the community since 1973, Syracuse University Ambulance (SUA) is a student
operated organization that responds to more than 1,500 emergencies a year, providing
basic life support, transport, rapid cardiac defibrillation, as well as non-emergency
transportation. SUA provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic
school year. In 2004 SUA was honored with the New York State EMS Agency of the Year
Award. Awarded by the New York State EMS Council, SUA was chosen to receive this
honor out of 1,127 different EMS agencies state-wide.
SUA began implementation of EMS eSchedule in January 2007 after deciding that they needed a web based solution for scheduling shifts. The move to EMS eSchedule allows students to sign up for shifts from their dorm rooms, library and numerous hot spots throughout campus. The system also handles scheduling of special events including football, basketball and lacrosse games at the Carrier Dome.
EMS eSchedule provides Internet based human resource software for Emergency Response Agencies (Ambulance, Advanced Life Support, Fire, helicopter transport, etc.). eSchedule functionality includes scheduling, time and attendance, shift availability, training tracking, certification tracking, and much more. eSchedule can accommodate a variety of organizations including volunteer, mixed staff (volunteer and career) as well as municipal and commercial organizations.
