Five Quad launches EMS eSchedule.
Albany, New York
Since it's founding in 1973, Five Quad Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. has proudly been
serving the University at Albany community, as well as the surrounding areas of Albany and
Guilderland. Five Quad V.A.S. is a New York State certified ambulance agency that is run and
operated by University at Albany students. Five Quad is successfully able to provide Basic
Life Support 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the fall and spring semesters. Each
semester, Five Quad has between 50-90 active members (including actively participating
alumni), 20-30 members-in-training, and two functional ambulances. Active membership is
composed of CPR certified attendants, New York State Emergency Medical Technicians, Drivers,
and Crew Chiefs.
Five Quad began implementation of EMS eSchedule in June 2007 after deciding that they needed a web based solution for scheduling shifts. The move to EMS eSchedule allows students to sign up for shifts from their dorm rooms, library and numerous hot spots throughout campus. The system also handles scheduling of special events including football, basketball and lacrosse games.
EMS eSchedule provides Internet based human resource software for Emergency Response Agencies (Ambulance, Advanced Life Support, Fire, helicopter transport, etc.). eSchedule functionality includes scheduling, time and attendance, shift availability, training tracking, certification tracking, and much more. eSchedule can accommodate a variety of organizations including volunteer, mixed staff (volunteer and career) as well as municipal and commercial organizations.
